Picture hereunder is an overview of the Ar-Ar extraction line of Berne (nicknamed BLABLA for
Bernese Low Argon Blank Line Assembly). On the left and right corners are the respective controls of various heaters and
vacuum pump, and of the spectrometer. At the top of this last control is a printer showing measured argon peak. |
In summary, mineral separates (1)
are stocked in a glassy tube, and then slided one per one in the furnace
(2). Extracted gaz is so cleaned with one first getter situated be
near to the furnace (2), followed by a second along the extraction
line (3). Finally, argon gaz, cleaned of most problematic impureties, is send to
spectrometer (4). Though it is not in use actually, a
laser extraction system is also present behind. |
